Our online Change Management (CM) course, conducted in English, is currently underway. During our last class on Friday, August 25th, 2023, we achieved a significant milestone by aligning our conceptual understanding of what CM means within our specific context.
I am delighted to highlight two key outcomes that emerged from our rich team discussions during this session:
“In today’s Change Management class, we have learned that many aspects of organizational culture are shaped by human factors and emotional connections. This means that how people feel about change and how it affects their interactions and values plays a crucial role in the ease of use and success of organizational transformation. Today’s organizational reality and current challenges demand a behavioral change. Furthermore, companies need to be flexible and ready for change. Everyone, from leaders to employees, must be on board. There are new tools that mix technology and people skills to help manage change. But real change also means shifting how people think and act. Our recent class taught us that how people feel about change is key to making it work.” (Alice Pistori Sales; Camila A. P. dos Santos; Carlos E. Silveira; Cintia Blaskovsky Portilho Gomes; Grigory L. Sadovski; Guilherme M. da Silva).
“In a complex and ambiguous ever-changing world, organizations must pay attention to change management (CM). Effective CM promotes organizational performance and growth. It requires leadership, strategy and cultural management, creating urgency and promoting strategic alignment and commitment to change. CM is not a linear path! Leaders must manage different aspects to have better chance of succeding the efforts of change.”(Albert Assis Carrara; Anna C. G. Maccarone; Antonia K. D. Ricken; Elisa M. P. da Silva; Guilherme B. Cieto; Marcel A. Garcia).
