Cultivating Change: Our International Partnership for Sustainable Innovation

Cultivating Change: Our International Partnership for Sustainable Innovation

Another exciting international #partnership is taking shape within the CHANGE research group. We are thrilled to announce that our project is one of the seven initiatives selected for funding through the #UGPN (University Global Partnership Networks) #RCF 2023 (Research Collaboration Fund). This #collaboration has led us to #team up with Professor Dr. Lei Xing and Professor Dr. Erick Sperandio from the University of Surrey (UoS) in England. Together, we are embarking on a journey to #explore the possibilities of #upscaling a #fertilizer production process through a #circulareconomy approach.
In this joint endeavor, UoS and USP (Universidade de São Paulo) will join forces, uniting a #dynamic and #diverse team to assess the #economic viability, #sustainability, and potential for #innovative business opportunities linked to scaling up #circular #fertilizers. Within this project, the #CHANGE research group is dedicated to delving into the #behavioral aspects of this groundbreaking circular fertilizer #innovation. Our focus lies in evaluating #technological advancements, #sustainability factors, and the potential for #innovative business prospects. This effort aligns seamlessly with the objectives of Goal SDG #2 (Zero Hunger), as we strive to contribute to food security.
Moreover, our role extends to comprehending and surmounting the barriers and challenges related to #changemanagement in the production and application of this novel fertilizer. Through our contributions, we aim to facilitate the successful adoption of this new fertilizer type and drive a #positiveimpact.

From the USP side, the team is composed of Professor Dr. Mateus Gerolamo and the associate researchers (Ph.D.) Ana Carolina BertassiniJéssica Mendes and Murilo Neves Mourarias.
